Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high‑performance, scalable backend applications using Spring Boot.
- Work within a microservices architecture, leveraging cloud technologies such as Azure (preferred) or GCP.
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs to support seamless integration with front‑end and partner applications.
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including proficiency with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
- Utilize Git or similar version control systems for collaborative development.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues, ensuring reliability and uptime.
- Implement Azure capabilities including:
- App Service deployments
- Key Vault integration
- Application Insights monitoring
- Basic Azure Functions
- Build and maintain automated tests, including:
- JUnit unit tests
- Integration tests
- Mocking frameworks
- API contract testing (Swagger/OpenAPI)
Required Skills
10+ years of hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot
Strong experience with microservices architecture
Cloud experience with Azure (App Services, Key Vault, Application Insights) and exposure to GCP
Strong REST API design and implementation skills
Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, integration testing, mocking)
API documentation and contract testing using Swagger / OpenAPI
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Proficiency with Git and version control best practices
Focus on enhancing cloud-native design and deployment practices on Azure by adopting scalable, resilient architectures and optimizing application configurations for the cloud. Improve observability across services through better logging, metrics, alerting, and production monitoring to enable faster issue detection and resolution. Strengthen system resilience and fault-tolerance by implementing patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation. Expand automated test coverage, including unit, integration, and API contract testing, to improve quality and confidence in releases. Continuously stay up to date with emerging Java, Spring, and cloud technologies and apply relevant advancements to improve system performance and maintainability.
