Job Description

Company Overview

KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem. Virtually every electronic device in the world is produced using our technologies. No laptop, smartphone, wearable device, voice-controlled gadget, flexible screen, VR device or smart car would have made it into your hands without us. KLA invents systems and solutions for the manufacturing of wafers and reticles, integrated circuits, packaging, printed circuit boards and flat panel displays. The innovative ideas and devices that are advancing humanity all begin with inspiration, research and development. KLA focuses more than average on innovation and we invest 15% of sales back into R&D. Our expert teams of physicists, engineers, data scientists and problem-solvers work together with the world’s leading technology providers to accelerate the delivery of tomorrow’s electronic devices. Life here is exciting and our teams thrive on tackling really hard problems. There is never a dull moment with us.

Group/Division

The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Own the end-to-end program management of KLA's in-fab repair operations — ensuring repair activity is executed in full alignment with legal, trade compliance, procurement, logistics, and internal engineering processes. Act as the single accountable owner who stitches together cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, Trade Compliance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sustaining Engineering, Field Operations) to deliver timely, compliant, and well-documented in-fab repair outcomes. Drive process definition, documentation, and continuous improvement across the in-fab repair value chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program ownership: Lead the in-fab repair program end-to-end — scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables — across all participating functions.
  • Legal & compliance stewardship: Partner with Legal and Trade Compliance to ensure every in-fab repair activity meets contractual, export control, customs, and regulatory requirements; own exception handling and escalation for compliance blockers.
  • Procurement coordination: Work with Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to drive supplier engagement, RFQs, POs, and contract execution in support of repair BOMs and tooling needs.
  • Logistics management: Orchestrate inbound/outbound logistics with Supply Chain and freight partners — parts movement to/from customer fabs, cross-border shipments, customs clearance, and repair return loops (RMA/loaner pools).
  • Process definition & documentation: Build, publish, and maintain the end-to-end in-fab repair process — SOPs, RACI, workflow diagrams, decision trees, and operating playbooks. Establish document control and version governance.
  • ECO release management: Own Engineering Change Order (ECO) release management for in-fab repair — from initiation and cross-functional review through approval, release, and field rollout; ensure changes are controlled, communicated, and implemented consistently across sites.
  • Cross-functional governance: Run the in-fab repair operating cadence — steering committee, weekly operations review, and issue-resolution forums; drive decisions and action closure with clear owners and dates.
  • Risk & issue management: Proactively identify program risks (legal, compliance, supply, logistics, technical, schedule); maintain risk register and drive mitigation plans.
  • KPI & reporting: Define and track program KPIs — cycle time, first-time-fix, compliance exception rate, logistics lead time, cost per repair; deliver executive-ready status updates.
  • Continuous improvement: Lead post-mortems and root-cause reviews on process failures; drive corrective and preventive actions back into the standard operating model.
  • Stakeholder alignment: Bridge engineering, field, and business stakeholders across regions (HQ, China, Singapore); translate priorities and constraints into clear program decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of program/project management experience in semiconductor capital equipment, high-tech manufacturing, or complex engineering operations — ideally at the intersection of engineering and business functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs spanning legal, trade compliance, procurement, logistics, and engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of export controls, trade compliance, and customs processes as they apply to semiconductor tool parts and field service operations.
  • Proven ability to define, document, and govern enterprise processes — SOPs, RACI, process maps, document control systems.
  • Experience with ECO (Engineering Change Order) release management — initiation, review, approval, and field rollout within an engineering change-control framework.
  • Excellent program management toolkit: schedule management, risk/issue registers, decision logs, status reporting, stage-gate reviews.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication — able to drive outcomes across functions and geographies without direct authority.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; working proficiency in Mandarin strongly preferred for direct coordination with China field and customer teams.
  • Eligible to work in Singapore.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a semiconductor OEM service/sustaining organization managing in-fab or field repair programs.
  • Technical background (Engineering degree and/or prior hands-on technical experience in semiconductor equipment, electronics, or opto-mechanical systems) is a plus.

What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)

  • A single, documented end-to-end in-fab repair process is published, adopted, and governed against all functions.
  • KPI dashboard is created, published, and actively used — cycle time, first-time-fix, compliance exception rate, logistics lead time, cost per repair, and ECO release metrics tracked against targets.
  • Measurable reduction in repair cycle time and in compliance/logistics-driven delays.
  • Clear operating cadence is in place; stakeholders receive consistent, executive-ready status.
  • Risk register is live and actively managed; top program risks trend down quarter-over-quarter.
  • Trusted program owner recognized across Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Logistics, and Engineering.
