This exciting and challenging role involves providing ICT, Infrastructure, and Engineering services in support of designing a new integration laboratory, providing the critical foundations of Maritime Electronic Warfare capability integration.

 

The role will require collaboration with subject matter experts across safety, cyber security, software, hardware, and systems to ensure the infrastructure solution is safe, secure, and effective in providing the capability required by the Australian Defence Force.

 

This role offers the opportunity to work across engineering disciplines, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to end-to-end system development including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Supporting development of ICT architecture and detailed design.
  • Conduct trade studies for the analysis and selection of products to meet the requirements of the system.
  • Support the definition of interface requirements.
  • Developing technical documentation.
  • Configuring and integrating infrastructure components.
  • Assisting with system build and deployment activities.
  • Contributing to verification and validation of the solution.

 

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
  • ITIL Certification (Foundation) desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and develop experience in new technologies and programming languages.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to effectively analyse and resolve problems.
  • Understanding of basic network concepts and network device configuration.
  • Understanding of the application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps as a framework desirable.
  • Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
