Zayo is seeking a Head of Financial Systems & Analytics to lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of our enterprise financial systems and analytics capabilities. This role serves as the senior-most Finance technology leader, responsible for transforming financial data into a strategic asset that drives decision-making, operational efficiency, and scalable growth.
Acting as the Finance Functional Lead, our Head of Financial Systems & Analytics partners closely with IT and business leaders to ensure our financial platforms, including Oracle Fusion, OneStream, and Snowflake, are integrated, optimized, and delivering actionable insights across the organization.
Our Head of Financial Systems & Analytics will elevate Zayo’s analytics maturity by building robust data models, modern reporting capabilities, and advanced analytics frameworks that support Accounting, FP&A, and executive leadership.
*Location: Candidates local to the Denver, CO Metro area preferred with ability to work in a hybrid capacity (2 days/week in office) out of our Denver headquarters (1401 Wynkoop).
Candidates able to work remotely within the United States will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Systems Strategy & Leadership
Oversee both the financial processes and the technology stack to drive cost savings and efficiency. Owner of the financial systems roadmap. Directs long-term strategy and implementations.
Define and execute a multi-year vision and roadmap for Finance systems and analytics aligned with Zayo’s strategic priorities.
Serve as the single point of accountability for Finance systems, data, and analytics capabilities.
Partner with senior Finance, IT, and business leaders to prioritize investments and drive transformation initiatives.
Lead and develop a high-performing team across financial systems, data engineering, and analytics.
Lead and develop two specialized teams:
Financial Systems Team (2 FTE): Responsible for ERP, consolidation, integrations, and platform administration.
Financial Analytics Team (3 FTE): Focused on reporting, data modeling, and advanced analytics.
Drive clear operating model, priorities, and accountability across both teams to ensure alignment with Finance objectives.
Enterprise Financial Platforms Ownership
Own Finance functionality and alignment across:
Oracle Fusion (ERP / GL / subledgers)
OneStream (planning, consolidation, reporting)
Snowflake (financial data warehouse)
Ensure seamless integration across upstream and downstream systems, including Salesforce and operational platforms.
Oversee system performance, reliability, and scalability, ensuring minimal disruption to close, billing, and reporting processes.
Data, Analytics & Reporting Excellence
Establish a unified financial data and analytics strategy enabling a single source of truth.
Lead the design and delivery of modern reporting solutions, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities.
Develop advanced analytics capabilities, including forecasting enhancements, driver-based models, and scenario analysis.
Ensure high data quality, governance, and reconciliation across all financial systems.
Data Architecture & Governance
Define and enforce financial data standards, governance frameworks, and master data management practices.
Partner with Data & IT teams to design scalable data pipelines and architecture supporting real-time and near real-time insights.
Ensure consistent definitions and alignment across Accounting, FP&A, and operational reporting.
Controls, Risk & Compliance
Embed strong internal controls within financial systems and analytics workflows.
Maintain SOX-compliant processes across systems, integrations, and reporting.
Partner with Internal Audit and Compliance on documentation, testing, and remediation.
Cross-Functional Transformation
Translate Finance and business requirements into scalable, technology-enabled solutions.
Lead large-scale transformation initiatives, including integrations, system upgrades, and process redesign.
Provide executive-level visibility into system performance, data quality, and analytics adoption.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience across Finance, Financial Systems, or Analytics, including senior leadership roles.
Deep expertise in financial processes including close, consolidation, planning, and reporting.
Strong experience with enterprise platforms:
Oracle Fusion
OneStream (or similar financial reporting system)
Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
Proven track record of leading financial systems transformation and analytics modernization initiatives.
Strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and analytics frameworks.
Strong project & change management capabilities. Deep knowledge of accounting principles with technical proficiency in EPM and ERP systems.
Experience operating at both strategic and hands-on levels.
Preferred
Experience building or leading advanced analytics or finance data teams.
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and modern data stack concepts.
Experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, or complex multi-entity environments.
Experience integrating Salesforce or similar operational platforms with financial systems.

Estimated base salary range: $190,000 - $225,000 USD/annually

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.
