More about the role

Identifies and develops new business opportunities to drive company growth. Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients and partners. Analyzes market trends to inform strategic sales initiatives.


• Responsible for sales target delivery across a broad portfolio of Philips horticultural lighting products and systems for indoor farming, ensuring profitability, market share capture, and driving overall business growth.

* Utilizes understanding of the Horticultural market, ecosystem and network in the growth of existing and new customers.

* Generates new business opportunities indoor farming through independent scouting of internal and external sources, thus filling the sales pipeline via cold acquisition. Focusing on specialty applications like growing without daylight and/or multi-layer. Or specific target groups.

* Determines the attractiveness of identified business ideas and develop compelling business cases, to get qualification by management and the necessary budget for further development into a business plan.

Monitors market trends and competitor activities to adjust business development strategies accordingly.

Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients to support business growth and partnership opportunities.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to contribute to innovation roadmap, tailor solutions and meet client needs effectively.
 

More about you
• Minimum 6 years of experience in business development or sales roles, with proven success in selling, engaging with Horticulture and/or Agriculture customers
• Strong cultivation knowledge to be able to be a good sparring partner for the grower and be able to give some general cultivation advise.

• Interest in and understanding of the principles of lighting (systems, luminaires, light plans)

• Fluent in English

• You are a team player, forward thinker who can deal with business dynamics and enjoys working independently and hands-on.
