Project Manager – Construction & Fit-Out

Job Description Summary

As a Project Manager, you’ll lead real estate development and fit-out projects across commercial and office sectors - from idea to handover. You will serve as a trusted advisor to both occupiers and investors, delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. You will also help shape our service offering, support business development, and mentor junior colleagues.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants to have a direct impact - not just on buildings, but on how Cushman & Wakefield grows in the Czech market.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple fit-out, refurbishment, and development projects across office, commercial, and industrial sectors

  • Represent clients throughout the project lifecycle — from feasibility, design, procurement, and construction through to completion and handover

  • Manage procurement, programme, budget, quality, and project delivery risks

  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, landlords, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution

  • Ensure alignment with client objectives, sustainability goals, and local regulations

  • Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and support continuous improvement of internal processes

  • Contribute to business development activities and help grow client relationships

  • Mentor junior team members and support development of the wider project management team

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in Fit-Out Project Management (office, commercial, or retail projects)

  • 5-10 years of project management experience within real estate, construction, or consultancy

  • Ability to lead commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from start to finish

  • Strong English skills (written and spoken) - English is used daily with international clients

  • Fluent Czech or Slovak - essential for communication with local suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders

  • University degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field (e.g. ČVUT, VUT)

  • Strong knowledge of Czech regulations, procurement, and construction standards

  • Excellent communication and people management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within a dynamic project environment

Meriting Experience (Not Required, but Valuable)

  • Quantity surveying, cost management, or value engineering

  • Technical and/or Environmental Due Diligence (TDD/EDD)

  • ESG advisory, sustainability, and building certifications (e.g. LEED, BREEAM, WELL)

  • Architecture, interior design, or workplace strategy experience

  • Experience working with both occupiers and landlords

  • Existing commercial real estate network and business development experience

What We’re Looking For

  • A proactive and people-oriented professional who enjoys leading projects and building relationships

  • Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a mix of office and on-site responsibilities

  • A team player eager to collaborate with experienced designers, engineers, and project managers

  • A motivated individual who wants to help shape and grow the Project & Development Services business in the Czech market

What We Offer

  • A senior role with real responsibility and influence from day one

  • Opportunity to work with leading local and international clients

  • A collaborative team culture with access to Cushman & Wakefield’s global expertise

  • Competitive benefits package (Multisport card, Pluxee vouchers, etc.)

  • 25 days of annual leave

  • 3 sick days

  • Career growth opportunities within a global organization

  • Meaningful projects that shape workplaces, buildings, and cities
