Job Title: Japan Internal Communications Specialist
Job Location: Hiroshima, Japan
Organization: Hiroshima site external relations and site services
Reporting to: Director, Fab 15 external relations and site activities
Job Objectives
Act as the internal communications specialist for Micron Japan, responsible for designing and executing communication strategies that support business priorities and employee engagement across Hiroshima, Hashimoto, Tokyo, and Osaka sites.
This position requires a seasoned communicator with strong cross-cultural fluency who can translate global narratives into impactful local messages. The role involves close collaboration with Global Communication & Marketing (GCM) team in Asia to align Japan’s internal and external narratives with Micron’s worldwide communication goals.
The role will also involve working closely with North Asia Director of Communications and Marketing and Japan Country Communication Manager to provide communications counsel to site stakeholders. At the site level, he/she will own internal platforms and support selected external brand presences.
Responsibilities
Internal Communications (90%)
- Support GCM to drive Japan’s internal communication strategy aligned with regional and global GCM priorities, develop and execute the internal communications campaigns.
- Partner with the US-based GCM team to adapt and deploy corporate-wide campaigns, executive messaging, transformation communications, and global strategic initiatives at site-level.
- Work closely with GCM, PMOs, site leaders, and the people team to prioritize messaging for Japan’s major sites and projects (e.g., Hiroshima, Tokyo, Hashimoto).
- Take ownership of MicronNow (site-level) and internal digital signage platforms to deliver site-specific content with strategic relevance.
- Be the gatekeeper of Micron brand and corporate narratives for site-level internal and external promotions, and provide communication counsel to site stakeholders
- Support contributing content and messaging, reviewing collaterals from corporate, and keeping site profiles updated to fit local site communication needs and fulfill corporate GCM’s request
- Support North Asia Director of Communications and Marketing to manage local issues and crisis communication.
External Communications (10%)
- Support GCM Country Communication Manager to manage local media inquiries and related requests
- Assist GCM Country Communication Manager by coordinating site-related content for social media, Japan website, and corporate channels.
- Ensure external messaging at the site level aligns with internal narratives and supports Micron’s brand integrity.
Qualifications
- Business level English proficiency
- Strong, versatile copywriting skills
- Good organizational, planning, and coordination skills
- Ability to multi-task, planning and coordination skills
- Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Possesses a sense of urgency; is self-motivated and detail-minded
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
- Good verbal presentation, group dynamic, and facilitation skills
- A proactive approach to resolving problems and issues
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, business administration/ management, journalism, strategic communications, marketing, or equivalent
- Experience in Marketing and/or Communication will be a plus
- Proven track record to manage executive-level internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience with cross-function and cross-region coordination
- Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus

本ポジションでは、高度なコミュニケーションスキルと強い異文化理解力を備え、グローバルなメッセージやストーリーを日本の現場に響く形で効果的に翻訳・展開できる人材が求められます。アジア地域の Global Communication & Marketing(GCM)チームと緊密に連携し、日本における社内外のコミュニケーションを Micron 全社のグローバル方針と整合させます。
また、North Asia Communications and Marketing Director および Japan Country Communication Manager と密に連携し、各サイトのステークホルダーに対してコミュニケーション面での助言・支援を行います。サイトレベルでは、社内コミュニケーションプラットフォームの管理を担い、選定された対外的なブランド発信のサポートも行います。
職務内容(Responsibilities)
社内コミュニケーション(90%)
- 地域およびグローバルの GCM 方針に沿って、日本における社内コミュニケーション戦略を推進し、各種キャンペーンの企画・実行を支援する
- 米国拠点の GCM チームと連携し、全社共通キャンペーン、経営層メッセージ、変革コミュニケーション、グローバル戦略施策を各サイト向けに展開する
- GCM、PMO、サイトリーダー、人事(People)チームと連携し、日本主要拠点およびプロジェクト(例:広島、東京、橋本)におけるメッセージングの優先順位を整理・調整する
- MicronNow(サイトレベル)および社内デジタルサイネージの運営責任者として、戦略的意義のあるサイト固有コンテンツを発信する
- サイトレベルにおける社内外プロモーションについて、Micron ブランドおよびコーポレート・ナラティブの管理者としての役割を担い、関係者へコミュニケーション面での助言を行う
- コーポレートからの資料・コンテンツのレビュー、ローカル要件に合わせた修正、サイトプロフィールの更新などを行い、GCM からの要請に対応する
- North Asia Communications and Marketing Director を支援し、ローカル課題対応およびクライシスコミュニケーションを担当する
社外コミュニケーション(10%)
- Japan Country Communication Manager を支援し、国内メディアからの問い合わせおよび関連対応を行う
- サイト関連のコンテンツについて、SNS、日本向けウェブサイト、コーポレートチャネル向けの調整・連携を行う
- サイトレベルでの対外メッセージが社内ナラティブと整合し、Micron のブランド価値を損なわないよう担保する

学歴・経験要件(Education and Experience Requirements)
- ビジネス、経営学、ジャーナリズム、戦略コミュニケーション、マーケティング、または同等分野の学士号
- マーケティングおよび/またはコミュニケーション分野での経験があれば尚可
- 経営層レベルの社内ステークホルダーを担当した実績
- 部門横断・地域横断での調整業務経験
- 半導体業界での経験があれば尚可
