We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems within our plant. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Location: Hasler Flats, BC (located 30 minutes from Chetwynd, BC). Successful candidate will be responsible for own transportation to and from the plant location.
Hours: 40 hours per week with occasional call-ins as required to support operational needs.
Wage: $59.95 per hour. $400 a month for Northern Allowance.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices, schematics, and technical documentation.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all electrical systems.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Install and maintain wiring, control systems, and related components in accordance with electrical codes.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards.
Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency of equipment.
Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician Certification in BC or Red Seal Endorsement (or equivalent).
Minimum Class B Field Safety Representative (FSR) certification through Technical Safety BC.
Minimum 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, industrial control systems, and automated equipment.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Advanced Certificate in Automated Controls Installation and Maintenance (ACIM) is considered an asset.
Experience in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
Safety tickets: H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS is considered an asset.
Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.
