About the role

The Nuclear Company is seeking a dynamic Head of Services to build and lead our Service Engine from the ground up. This executive leader will own the strategy for field services, technical support, and site-readiness, ensuring delivery models are bankable, safe, and scalable. Responsibilities

Strategic Service Architecture

  • Define the long-term vision for service offerings, including outage management and remote monitoring.
  • Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) aligned with nuclear safety and commercial bankability.
  • Partner with the SVP of Commercial to integrate service contracts into project finance and offtake agreements.

Nuclear Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure all activities strictly adhere to NRC and DOE regulations with audit-ready documentation.
  • Foster a Safety-First culture across all field and technical service teams.
  • Lead specialized training programs for field technicians and site operators.
  • Identify and lead the operational integration of strategic growth initiatives, ensuring that new partnerships are seamlessly folded into our core cross-functional operating model.

Scaling & Team Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a multi-disciplinary team of nuclear engineers and project managers.
  • Implement CMMS and remote diagnostics tools to manage a growing fleet of assets.
  • Refine processes for First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) deployments to drive operational excellence.

Partner & Site Engagement

  • Act as the primary technical liaison for utility partners and industrial customers.
  • Oversee site-readiness assessments to ensure seamless transition from construction to long-term service.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, or related), Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in the nuclear energy sector, with a significant focus on providing services to nuclear power plants.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a service-oriented business unit or division.
  • Deep understanding of services from an industrial industry.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L responsibilities.
