About this Role: 

The Director, Global Platforms and Events will lead the development and execution of Hut 8’s strategy for external brand presence and industry engagement. This role is responsible for identifying where and how the company shows up in the world, including major conferences, institutional forums, strategic partnerships, and flagship owned events, with the objective of reinforcing Hut 8’s leadership position at the intersection of energy, digital infrastructure, and next-generation technologies.
 
The ideal candidate brings strong judgment around which platforms, institutions, and industry dialogues matter most and how Hut 8 should participate in those moments to build credibility with investors, policymakers, partners, and customers.
 
You will build relationships with leading global institutions and convening platforms and identify opportunities for Hut 8 to participate in high-impact moments that shape industry dialogue and strengthen the company’s credibility with key stakeholders. In parallel, you will lead the conception and execution of Hut 8’s flagship owned events, including Investor Day and other curated gatherings that bring together high-profile stakeholders across the company’s ecosystem.
 
This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, relationship-building, and operational excellence. You will play a central role in shaping how Hut 8 participates in the global conversations that matter most to the company’s long-term positioning and growth.
 
Some of the key responsibilities you should expect are the following:
 
Platform strategy and industry presence
  • Develop and manage Hut 8’s strategy for participating in major global platforms, including conferences, forums, and institutional convenings
  • Exercise strong judgment in selecting the platforms, institutions, and convenings where Hut 8 should participate to maximize credibility and influence
  • Evaluate opportunities for Hut 8 to engage in industry events, policy forums, and strategic gatherings aligned with the company’s positioning
  • Coordinate Hut 8’s presence across these platforms, including speaking opportunities, partnerships, sponsorships, and other brand activations
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Communications and executive teams to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across appearances and engagements

 

Strategic partnerships and brand activations

  • Develop relationships with organizations that convene leaders across technology, finance, energy, and policy
  • Identify partnership opportunities that elevate Hut 8’s brand and strengthen its leadership presence in key industry conversations
  • Design impactful brand activations and partnership initiatives tied to major industry moments

 

Flagship owned events

  • Lead the development and execution of Hut 8’s flagship events, including Investor Day and other high-impact convenings
  • Design experiences that bring together investors, partners, policymakers, and industry leaders around Hut 8’s strategic priorities
  • Develop programming, speaker lineups, and narrative frameworks for owned events
Program and stakeholder management
  • Partner with communications, investor relations, marketing, and executive leadership to align platform participation with company priorities
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality execution across events and partnerships
