Summary:

Additional Information:

Responsible for supervising the Payroll function and ensuring that controls are in place, payroll is completed according to schedule, and payroll payments are made accurately and timely. Ensures accurate and timely reporting to the IRS and other external agencies. Oversees system testing for payroll system upgrades and enhancements.

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience

Description

1. Ensures that all Payroll processes are documented and maintained, all payrolls are posted accurately and according to schedule, and all payroll payments are submitted for payment timely.

2. Ensures reporting compliance with government and other external agencies.

3. Has full authority over personnel actions.

4. Identifies process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes.

5. Assists team in a back-up role for payroll processing during critical times.

6. Oversees research, analysis and resolution of technical issues or questions by utilizing knowledge of the entire payroll process.

7. Sets up new benefit plans, adjust benefit limits, creates and tests new earnings and deduction codes and manage account posting rules for payroll.

8. Oversees planning and testing of payroll system upgrades and enhancements for Payroll.

9. Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.
