The Securities and Derivatives Representative is an entry level position responsible for processing fiduciary metrics and collateral instructions to trading desks with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in generate metrics and support the collateral management process for Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete operational tasks focused on administering defined procedures, analyses, and report preparation
  • Analyze data and make recommendations for the collateral instructions
  • Minimize risk to the bank by monitoring errors and suggesting solutions that reduce errors and ensure adherence to audit and control policies
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of how the team collaborates with other areas in accomplishing assigned tasks
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Qualifications:

  • Fluent English combined with clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant experience preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of securities/derivatives activities, policies, procedures, and concepts will be an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
