Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive accounting tasks, including end to end processing and financial data reconciliation ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and other transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Maintain precise and organized financial records using accounting software (Quickbooks) for accessibility and accuracy.
• Assist with the tax compliance activities, including the preparation of tax returns, supporting schedules and communication with tax authorities
• Assist and participate in year-end financial audits by providing documentation, explanations and analysis to external auditors as required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience with multinational corporations preferred.
• Legal and secretarial experience is preferred
• Have experience in inventory costing – seed accounting experience is desired but not mandatory.
• Have strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Strong team player and able to interact and collaborate with other functions.
• Have excellent communication skills, especially fluency in English.
• Proficient in various computer applications including complex excel formulas.
