About the role
The Opportunity:
We are seeking highly skilled Business Systems Analysts/User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Testers with strong experience in Momentum Financials to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) program. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience performing front-end functional testing and back-end database validation, ensuring that delivered system enhancements, integrations, and configurations meet business requirements and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and maintain UAT test plans, test cases, and test script for Momentum Financials applications and related interfaces.
Conduct front-end testing of Momentum modules (e.g., Budget Execution, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Purchasing, etc.) to validate business processes and user workflows.
Perform back-end testing by writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency between the application and the database.
Identify, document, and track defects using the designated defect management tool (e.g., JIRA, Agility).
Collaborate with developers, functional analysts, and business users to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Validate integrations with external systems, financial reporting, and data migration activities.
Participate in test readiness reviews, defect triage meetings, and UAT sign-off activities.
Provide detailed test results and metrics to support go/no-go release decisions.
Ensure all testing adheres to established FMBT quality assurance and release management processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
US citizenship is required.
5+ years of experience working as a business/systems analyst and ideally some experience working with Momentum Financials.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Experience working with the Momentum Financials front-end and database.
Strong analytical and written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems.
Self-starter. Quick to learn and put new skills to use.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
