The pay for the position: $23.00 - $25.00 per hr.

The starting pay rate is: $23.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

As a US FOODS® Inventory Control Clerk, you will be helping maintain inventory levels and product quality by performing essential clerical functions, including records compilation and retention, computer updates and requisition preparation. This provides the division with up-to-date inventory records to ensure efficient shipping and a high confidence in customer product. Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• A minimum of three years job experience, Inventory Control or other Clerical in a Distribution Center setting.

• Computer literacy – MS Office, electronic inventory database, Windows based applications

• Ability to operate and become certified on Powered Industrial Trucks (Pallet Jack, Stock Picker, et al).

• Must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally, strong math skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, basic computer skills. Must be able to work on complex tasks and prioritize workload. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to be a resource to others in the division. 

• Ability to work in environments between 0F and 34F degrees

• HACCP experience preferred

MAIN INGREDIENTS

Great Inventory Control Clerks are crucial to the US FOODS® team and one of the important faces of our organization. Our Inventory Control Clerks strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with our team.

• Perform daily inventory counts and audits and provide detailed documentation of results.

• Research transactions and exceptions to derive root cause and provide resolution.

• Request, prepare, compile and retain reports and records in printed and electronic form.

• Identify products in inventory database; Identify code dates on products.

• Perform full range of Inventory Reclass/Transfer functions.

• Evaluate, verify and process Driver returned products.

• Reconcile Routes, Invoices and other documents.

• Process debit and credit adjustments while utilizing accurate reason codes.

• Perform related clerical tasks and audits to support warehouse logistics.

• Move and stage pallet loads with material handling equipment.

• Adhere to Company standards for Safety, product handling and Food Safety.

• Keep timecard record to ensure accurate time and attendance reporting.

• Adhere to Division Attendance Policy.

• Work in multiple environments, including office as well as ambient, refrigerated and frozen storage areas.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $23.00/hr and $25.00/hr. As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation.
