The Business Unit Robotics develops, produces and distributes pipetting robots for the automation of liquid handling processes for a wide range of customers from the pharmaceutical and food industry, all the way to cell and DNA research.

Job Description:

  • Possess expert knowledge of R&D Software Development
  • Support the Product Owner in the definition of requirements
  • Collaborate with Software Architects in the definition and extension of system design and architecture
  • Understand the process of 3D Modelling and CAD integration
  • Implement and optimize functionalities in a specific programming language
  • Implement and refine automated tests to ensure software quality
  • Test code using both simulators and real instruments
  • Perform code reviews according to the process
  • Ensure documentation is according to processes
  • Provide 3rd level support, addressing software related issues

Professional experience & skills desired to have:

  • Completed degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in software development - you think proactively, take responsibility, and actively contribute
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, scripting languages (JavaScript, Python), and SQL
  • Very good understanding of XML as a metalanguage
  • Familiar with markup languages, vector mathematics, and database queries
  • Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse or Visual Studio.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux, 3D modeling, and CAD tools
  • Enjoy making technical decisions and driving software solutions forward
  • High standards for code quality, testability, security, and scalability
  • Solution-oriented, creative mindset and a positive attitude
  • Team player who shares knowledge, coaches, and supports the team by example
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
