Interventional Radiology Per-Diem Physician Assistant (PA)

As a Per-Diem Interventional Radiology PA, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional care across the full procedural continuum—before, during, and after interventions. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, nurses, and technologists in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of IR procedures including angiograms, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access
- Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure safe, coordinated patient care
- Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments and manage patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
- Adhere to sterile technique and safety protocols at all times
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advancements in interventional radiology
Schedule: Monday–Friday day shifts only (no nights, weekends, or holidays)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Interventional Radiology experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NYS PA licensure
- NCCPA certification
- BLS and ACLS certification
- NYS Infection Control certification
- DEA registration with NYS opioid prescriber compliance
