Job Description
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health Sciences, such as Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Art Therapy or Marriage and Family Therapy; and Registered Intern status with the State of Florida is also required.
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral health needs.
- Good computer skills and an aptitude to learn new computer systems and programs.
- Clinical or professional licenses or certifications required for and employee to obtain this job: License in mental health counseling, social work or marriage & family therapy under F.S. Chapter 491.
- Experienced with solution focused interventions and knowledge of treatment planning utilizing a behavioral format.
- Has training in one of the mental health professions and experience to assess, plan, develop, and coordinate services within a treatment plan and support services to program clients with severe and persistent mental illness under the clinical supervision of the CAT Team Leader.
- Experience working with a diverse population of clients
- Experience working in a clinical setting
- Experience in Caseload Management, Assessments & Treatment Planning.
- Must have good communication skills and be able to work independently.
- Must have valid Florida driver’s license, good driving record and must be willing to travel throughout Volusia and Flagler County.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, adults and their and families and community supports, solution-focused/cognitive-behavioral/other brief therapy.
- Complete all necessary intake paperwork, including psychosocial assessments, and initial treatment plans (if applicable).
- Provide solution-focused (or other accepted brief therapy) clinical interventions in individual, group or family therapeutic activities.
- Prepare accurate clinical and documentation and meet all required standards in quality, accuracy and timeliness.
- Establish collaborative relationships with host site personnel and/or other community providers.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge or directories of community resources.
- Maintain all necessary training/CEU obligations keep up-to-date with best practices of therapeutic interventions.
- Attend all required staff meetings, clinical staffing and host site events (if applicable).
- Comply with all relevant ethical codes/standards of conduct.
- Performs on-call duty for crisis intervention nights and weekends; available for consultation as necessary.
- Perform other related job duties and assignments as required.
- Adhere to the company's policies and procedures, safety guidelines, business ethics and presents a professional image and behavior at all times.
