Job Description

Asana is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. Our finance team tracks and seeks to understand the factors driving our growth and success. We help our entire organization achieve our operational and financial goals while embodying our company values. We ensure our objectives are feasible and work closely with all teams to ensure they have the resources they need to achieve our ambitious mission enabling all teams to work together effortlessly. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor in our Technology and R&D Orgs, delivering insights and providing recommendations for supporting sustainable and efficient growth globally. You will help drive improvements to forecast accuracy, enhance corporate reporting, establish and improve finance processes, and help scale our systems.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

  • Own and develop financial forecasts that accurately predict business performance; highlight key variances, opportunities, and issues to senior management.

  • Support strategic short and long-term business decisions through ROI-focused financial modeling and analysis for our internal teams.

  • Evolve and implement processes and tools necessary to help scale our FP&A practices; support company-wide planning and forecasting processes in a manner that is both efficient and effective.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders (including executives, team leads, and program leads), and serve as a key point of contact for all things finance.

  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses as required to support our growing global business.

About you

  • Financial expertise: You have experience in FP&A or corporate finance with a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts and accounting principles.

  • Cross-functional collaborator: You have the ability to cultivate effective relationships and work cross-functionally with strong planning, process management, and communication skills.

  • Analytical storyteller: You possess excellent business judgment and intellectual curiosity, with a proven ability to turn data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Effective communicator: You have a track record of presenting complex financial analyses clearly and concisely to senior management.
