As a Smart Manufacturing Product Owner at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible to enable innovation and new frontier technology for Smart manufacturing to define, drive and deliver end to end smart manufacturing solution, integrated across functions of the business. The team will look into applying industry-leading the best methodologies in automation, AI and machine learning to enhance Micron’s product development, business and administrative processes across the company.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Conceptualize, prototype and productize innovative solutions using artificial intelligence, big data to revolutionize Micron manufacturing performance in product yield, quality, test coverage and system level performance. Partner with Test Solutions Engg, Product Engineering & Global Quality group to drive AI transformation in Micron, enabling new insights and solutions for technology acceleration.

Key area of focus will be on Global Quality group related initiatives

Participate/Lead End-to-End project teams comprising of Data Scientists, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Machine Learning Engineers & Data Engineers.

Provide domain insights into available data, identify gaps in existing data set, collaborate with data scientists to apply various AI techniques in providing technical solutions.

Be the expert in Micron data sources, translate project requirements to specific available data sources, specify new requirements to Solution Architects and Data Engrs in Technical solutions team.

Work with solution end users to analyze related information to design & define requirements.

Provide expert functional and process guidance on system interface and capabilities.

Develop business case, including impact validation approach, NPV/ROI of potential solutions, propose & prioritize projects for implementation.

Requirement

• At least 5 years experience in Semiconductor industry is essential, ideally in assembly, test & product quality/reliability management of HBM,DRAM & NAND.

• In-depth knowledge of Product, Probe, Assembly & Test flows of NAND/DRAM/HBM products will be advantageous.

• Strong passion in applying AI/Smart Manufacturing methods to innovate new frontier solutions to Test & Product challenges.

• Prior knowledge in data science is advantageous but not a pre-requisite.

• Prior knowledge of Machine Learning Operations, Data Flow management, Cloud is advantageous but not a prerequisite

• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills

• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

• Results oriented, with a growth mindset and strong dedication to identify and implement improvement opportunities

• Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships, influence and manage stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science or related field

• Ability to understand domain related data

• Translate user requirements into well defined Business Requirements Specifications(BRS),user stories, acceptance criteria for technical development teams.

• Partner with domain/finance on business value quantification of projects.

• Mock up/wireframe on UI on prototyping works for technical evaulation of business ideas

• Manage Jira/Confluence boards: features, epics, stories, sprint planning, and project tracking dashboards

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise-grade standards: data governance, security clearance, scalability, and platform alignment

• Champion a product owner approach — iterative thinking, failing fast, agile experimentation, and business-first prioritization

• Define success metrics upfront (usage, time saved, adoption rate, NPV, forecast accuracy improvement, etc.) and supervise outcomes through production
