Job Summary
Working with the Nuclear Development CFO and other department leaders, responsible for preparing financial plans and budgets and budget-to-actual analyses, preparing and reviewing financial models, and supporting financing and commercial transactions to enable informed decision-making.Facilitate the exchange of information and provide expertise in quantitative analysis and business problem-solving to drive accountability, profitability, forecast accuracy, and enhanced decision-making in support of nuclear development efforts.
Job Description
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate within nuclear development and other AEP groups such as the AEP corporate FP&A team, to prepare supportable, well-reasoned and accurate financial plans and forecasts, financial models and other financial analyses for nuclear development.
- Help to develop and roll out standardized methods for creating, preparing and maintaining financial plans and forecasts.
- Collaborate with departments within and outside of nuclear development to provide strategic financial and operational analysis for various proposed financial and commercial transactions.
- Interact with the Nuclear Development CFO and other finance leaders, outside financial advisors and AEP finance and treasury teams in the development and ownership of financial models and related outputs and presentations in support of commercial transactions, financing, and ad-hoc financial /scenario analyses.
What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field of study.
Experience:
- 7 years of experience, preferably in the power and utilities or energy industry or in financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling, or a combination of education and work experience.
- MBA, CPA, or graduate degree is preferred.
