Summary:

The Associate Manager, Customer Marketing is responsible for shaping and executing Category and Channel Go-To-Market strategies for the Modern Trade channel. This role plays a critical part in driving category growth, in-store excellence, and shopper conversion for SC Johnson brands, ensuring delivery of Sales, profit, market share objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning

  • Lead channel-based growth strategies for Modern Trade, in close collaboration with Sales, Regional Marketing, and Sales Operations

  • Translate category, brand, and shopper strategies into clear in-store execution plans (promotion, visibility, shelving, and merchandising)

  • Support S&OP and forecasting process by providing grounded trade insights and execution feedback

Commercialization & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end in-store commercialization for new product launches and key initiatives, ensuring readiness across timing, tools, and execution quality

  • Develop, deploy, and continuously improve in-store activation programs aligned with channel and customer needs

  • Ensure flawless execution through disciplined monitoring, tracking, and post-activation reviews

Insights & Performance Management

  • Analyze performance data (sell-in, sell-out, promotions, distribution, visibility) and convert insights into clear action plans

  • Utilize NielsenIQ and internal data to identify growth opportunities, risks, and optimization levers

  • Track and evaluate effectiveness of in-store activities to ensure ROI and execution excellence

Shopper & Category Leadership

  • Build deep understanding of Modern Trade shopper behavior

  • Lead category and customer thought leadership by translating shopper insights into actionable recommendations

  • Drive in-store conversion through creative and disruptive in-store communication and visibility solutions

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key connector between Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, and external partners

  • Enable Sales teams with clear execution guidelines, selling stories, and activation toolkits

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in any major

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Trade Marketing / Channel Marketing within FMCG

  • Strong background in Modern Trade / Key Account Sales

  • Solid understanding of in-store execution, promotions, and retail operations

  • Strong analytical capability with ability to translate data into insights and actions

  • Hands-on experience with NielsenIQ

  • Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
