This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The Associate, Production Planning, is primarily responsible for maintaining material schedules to support production control, managing material flow, and addressing shortages. You will use your expertise in supplier processes, production, procurement, and engineering to prevent potential issues.
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain schedules for material requirements and availability to support production control, and compile records on material quantity, cost, and type received, shipped, in stock, or in production
• Support the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments according to production and shipping schedules, and determine possible and actual shortages to initiate corrective actions
• Use knowledge of supplier processes, production, procurement, and engineering to alert proper authorities regarding potential problems and review the master production schedule to determine shortages
• Estimate production rates, log time expenditures, and establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates
• Handle direct material buying, execute long-term supply chain strategies, and take appropriate action to expedite materials
• Monitor production to ensure promised delivery dates are met and generate progress reports on schedule status while keeping records of completed orders
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring quality control, and completing required training
• Meet individual job requirements and contribute to overall compliance, committing to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Minimum requirement:
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain/any relevant course
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Warehouse & Planning
- Must have exposure to SAP
- Good to have Microsoft Excel skills
- Materials Master Data skills will be an added advantage
