Highlights:

Summary: The Assistant Manager, Radiology shall be responsible to assist the Manager with the daily workflow of the Radiology department. This individual will demonstrate the ability to act as a role model by providing direction in the application of clinical processes, quality improvement standards, organization and departmental goals. The Assistant Manager will support development of new and current employees. The Assistant Manager will also ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all diagnostic imaging equipment.  This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Education/Experience:

Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology required. Degree in Applied Science or 2-year technical program certification required. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a hospital environment and 2 years’ supervisory experience required.

Licensure/Certification:

ARRT in Radiography with 1 additional modality required, BLS required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software.

• Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.

• Must be able to meet strict deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills.

• Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.

• Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance.

• Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions.

• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
