About the role
The Relationship Manager of Top Tier Local Corporates (TTLC) is an intermediate-level position responsible for managing large Thai corporate client relationships. The overall objective of this role is to act as a strategic advisor to our clients and deliver the full breadth of Citi's product suites to the clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand a portfolio of accounts with varying/complex financial needs with the objective of revenue growth, wallet defense, and good credit & control quality in line with Citi's credit standards, policies and processes.
- Foster relationships and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely problem resolutions and to meet the firm’s objective.
- Build credit skills required for credit originations, credit proposals, credit allocation, approvals, documentation, bookings, and exceptions.
- Identify customer needs and recommend solutions to address these needs, such as financing, cash management, trade finance, foreign currency & hedging solutions, and capital market products.
- Work with Senior Bankers in the team for the preparation of relationship reviews and client portfolios as part of development to take on bigger relationships.
- Take ownership of the assigned client relationships to meet the required deliverables.
- Represent banking coverage team in client meetings.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in banking and relationship management
- Credit skills/experience (i.e., financial accounting, commercial lending theories, industry awareness, loan structuring, etc.) preferred
- Proven ability to learn and exert sound judgment
- Ability to be client focused and results oriented
- Consistently demonstrate follow-up and organizational skills
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Proven planning, negotiation and analytical skills
- Professional attitude
- Proven expertise in risk assessment and valuation
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Finance or closely related areas of Business Administration
