Payroll, Time and Benefits Senior Team Lead

Your day to day responsibilities:
As a Payroll Time & Benefits Team Lead, you are responsible for leading a Payroll Time & Benefits Operations (PTB) team across multiple countries (a country cluster) and performing all people leadership activities in line with Roche People Practices. You will ensure local PTB performance targets are met at both the team and individual levels, and that regular operations reviews are held internally, as well as externally with relevant stakeholders.
As a Qualified Lead you are:
Leading and managing the Payroll Time and Benefits Operations (PTB) team by delivering best services and solutions towards the clients.
Ensuring delivery of services in accordance with agreed performance levels (KPI) and in line with legal/regulations (compliance), continuously driving improvement activities/projects (simplification, standardization, automation) for service excellence and consistent customer experience.
Working in line with overall People Support Solutions strategy, seeking better/creative solutions to support business needs as well as leveraging advanced technology to continually drive teamwork efficiency and enhance customer experience.
Leading and facilitating people processes in line with Roche Leadership commitments, People Practices and policies, Roche values.
Role Modeling our people practices, ensuring that ongoing dialog occurs on the topics of Career, Capabilities, Connections and Contributions.
Developing team member’s knowledge, skills, capabilities in line with the Roche People Practices to retain and develop talented staff.
Driving employee retention, engagement and talent management.
Creating a safe and positive team culture and environment, ensuring the team is demonstrating the right mindset and attitude (trust, growth mindset, customer centricity, E2E accountability, problem solving).
Ensuring consistent and reliable service delivery for customers serviced, maintaining strong customer satisfaction within the area of responsibility, pro-actively providing feedback/inputs to stakeholders from a service perspective.
Setting and monitoring team working plan, resource allocations, workload.
Seeking, identifying and driving continuous service and process improvement (in terms of standardization, automation, and simplification), and service enhancement based on monthly performance, customer feedback.
Sustaining a win-win relationship with external vendors, as well as monitor the vendor performance through routine and/or project work.
Collaborating with peers within the region and globally PTB community and achieving our People Support Solutions vision by driving global consistency through collaboration.
Partnering with other Service teams (e.g. Advisory, People Support, Employee Lifecycle teams) for cross functional end to end service delivery and process improvement.
Actively contributing to the global PTB program and People & Culture transformation to ensure the defined strategy is successfully implemented within the assigned countries.

You bring the following skills, competencies and qualifications:
5+ years of payroll, time and benefits operations, experience in human resources in a specific area of expertise is a plus
People leader experience with proven track record, experience in remote team management is a plus
Demonstrated experience managing and supporting change initiatives
Ability to credibly represent our People Support Solutions vision as well as strategy and “the why” behind it
Ability to influence and work with key stakeholders to partner in achieving our strategy
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple, competing priorities
Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and multicultural environment working across borders.
Strong service management skills, process improvement analytical thinking and pragmatic approach
Experience in streamlining processes and eliminating waste
Prior experience in executing and evaluating of internal controls, minimizing operational risks
Good knowledge of Workday HR Processes and familiarity with CRM/Request Management Software
Strong English communication skills both written and spoken are essential (Polish & German language knowledge is a plus).
