The Role

As a Project Manager – Transmission, you will lead complex transmission projects from pursuit through closeout. You may manage a major phase of a large-scale project or oversee multiple medium-sized projects ranging from $500K to $10M+.

You are accountable for scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client satisfaction, with a strong emphasis on safety leadership and financial performance. This role is ideal for a driven, organized leader who thrives in the field and enjoys owning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects through estimating, bidding, execution, and closeout
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, field leadership, and project teams
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Track costs, forecasts, schedules, and performance metrics
Promote and exemplify Michels’ safety-first culture

What It Takes

Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with project management software (Primavera, HCSS, or similar)
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Willingness and ability to travel and commit to long-term, on-site projects
