As a Training Program Manager, Global Skilling, you will develop and execute skilling plans that empower the global workforce and reach new learners—especially those in emerging roles and evolving industries—ensuring they are equipped with the skills needed to thrive in the AI era. You will work closely with sales teams and internal stakeholders to ensure training and enablement are key differentiators in customer adoption of Microsoft platforms. Your leadership will guide customers on their AI journey, enabling them to build the skills needed to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Customers: Work closely with customers to analyze their training needs and create comprehensive skilling plans focused on AI and Microsoft technologies. Align training solutions with strategic business goals to accelerate adoption and transformation.
- Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with customers throughout their AI journey. Engage with C-suite and senior stakeholders to demonstrate the value of skilling and translate business requirements into actionable strategies.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of training opportunities to support our business. Regularly forecast and track training engagements, ensuring they are aligned with the strategic priorities of field sales teams and customer needs. Proactively communicate status and adjust plans to meet demand.
- Orchestrate Resources for Execution: Execute skilling plans by orchestrating resources across digital platforms, training partners, and Microsoft trainers. Ensure excellence in execution by driving consistency, quality, and impact across delivery motions.
- Strategic Insights and Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership on developing technical capabilities within our customer base. Your vision should emphasize scalable and high-impact skilling approaches.
- Effective Communication: Bridge technical and business audiences. Clearly articulate the value of AI skilling and adapt communication styles to resonate across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Innovation and Opportunity Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market demands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot novel learning initiatives that enhance AI adoption and drive organizational growth.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree or equivalent AND 3+ years experience in learning and development, relevant technical roles, business development, quota management, human resources (HR), customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, program/project management, or corporate education OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent AND 5+ years experience in learning and development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, HR, customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, program/project management, or corporate education OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- 10+ years broad business experience in learning & development, technical training, program/project management, sales, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft offerings (products and cloud and AI services), processes, and tools preferred along with prior experience in crafting or delivering training across diverse technical domains.
- Experience in driving large-scale enablement programs, with a track record of meeting or exceeding skilling targets and business impact metrics.
- Thought leadership in learning & development, such as developing new training content, implementing innovative learning tools, or contributing to industry forums on skilling.
- Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders, both externally and internally. Demonstrated experience engaging with customer executives and cross-functional internal teams to drive initiatives forward.
- Communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business benefits. Excellent presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Project management and organizational skills – capable of managing multiple training projects or engagements simultaneously, with attention to forecasting and pipeline management.
- High adaptability and problem-solving ability, including navigating change, ambiguity and adjusting plans to meet evolving needs. Self-driven and effective in a remote/virtual team environment.
Integrated Learning & Skilling IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
