About the role
At Jonsson Workwear, our ultimate goal is to equip our hardworking customers with durable and dependable garments that can withstand the toughest tasks. From concept to construction, every detail of our workwear is considered for purpose. But it’s the hard-wearing yet comfortable textiles, trims, and packaging we use that ultimately bring each garment to life.
To deliver on our promise of resilience and consistency, every material component must be carefully developed, tracked, and ready in line with product timelines. To support this, we are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Fabric and Trims Coordinator who is confident in communicating clearly and professionally, and able to ensure everything we design can be built on time and as intended.
As an organised and proactive Fabric and Trims Coordinator, you bring a strong sense of accountability and follow-through to your work. Your ability to coordinate across multiple moving parts, maintain accuracy, and keep teams informed will play a key role in enabling consistent product execution.
The detail- and process-driven Fabric and Trims Coordinator who joins our Product Development team will be required to:
- Support fabric development by coordinating supplier submissions, lab dips, and sampling processes.
- Track fabric testing, approvals, and readiness against product timelines.
- Assist Product Leaders and Designers with trim development by coordinating options and managing sample flow.
- Ensure trims align with design intent and functional requirements.
- Coordinate the development and sampling of packaging in line with Product direction.
- Maintain accurate fabric, trim, and packaging libraries, ensuring all codes and specifications are up to date.
- Provide reliable raw material data to Product Coordinators to support downstream processes.
- Coordinate internal and external testing for fabrics, trims, and packaging.
- Track performance, approvals, and highlight risks that may impact timelines or readiness.
- Work closely with Product, Procurement, and other teams to ensure material readiness aligns with product timelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external suppliers, sharing information and instructions in a structured and well thought through manner.
In line with Jonsson Workwear’s commitment to employment equity, applications from candidates from designated groups, as well as candidates with disabilities, are encouraged.
