Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Manufacturing IT Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Operations Lead (AMS).
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the Application Management Support (AMS) team responsible for supporting Siemens OpCenter and related MES applications in a production environment.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing IT department’s objective to ensure stable, reliable, and high-performing MES operations for the Liberty battery plant.
This position is based in the Battery Plant, Liberty, NC. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.
What you’ll be doing
Lead and manage the AMS team responsible for supporting OpCenter and related MES applications
Oversee incident, problem, and service request management to ensure timely resolution and minimal production impact
Monitor system performance, availability, and stability across MES environments
Coordinate production support activities, including on-call rotations and escalation management
Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues
Collaborate with development, data, and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues
Support release deployments and ensure operational readiness for new functionality
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in application support, production support, or IT operations
2+ years of experience leading or managing support teams
Experience supporting enterprise applications in manufacturing or MES/MOM environments
Experience with incident management, problem management, and service management processes
Added bonus if you have
Experience with Siemens OpCenter or similar MES platforms
Experience in automotive or battery manufacturing environments
Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
Experience supporting 24/7 production environments
