As the VP of Product Management, you’ll lead the strategy, development, and performance of Slide’s homeowners insurance products. You’ll balance growth, profitability, and risk while partnering across the business to deliver competitive, compliant, and customer‑centric products.
 

What You'll Do

Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Shape product strategy, including portfolio segmentation, appetite refinement, and growth priorities
  • Partner with Actuarial and Finance on scenario analysis, rate adequacy, and performance forecasting
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive dynamics, and legislative changes to guide product decisions
  • Support executive leadership with insights on CAT exposure, geographic concentration, and volatility

Product Development & Regulatory Oversight

  • Oversee development of policy forms, endorsements, coverage enhancements, and rate/rule changes
  • Lead state‑level product filings and regulatory approvals
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and support audits, market conduct exams, and regulatory reviews

Lifecycle Management & Performance

  • Own product lifecycle execution, including rule changes, form updates, and underwriting enhancements
  • Monitor and manage product performance metrics—loss ratio, combined ratio, retention, and growth
  • Recommend targeted actions to improve profitability, retention, and market competitiveness

Customer, Agent & Team Leadership

  • Improve product clarity, usability, and competitiveness for customers and agents
  • Reduce friction in quoting, binding, and servicing through thoughtful product design
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing product team, fostering accountability and growth
 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 10–14 years of progressive experience in product management, underwriting, or insurance strategy
  • Deep experience in Property & Casualty homeowners insurance
  • Proven success supporting regulatory filings, audits, and examinations in regulated environments
  • Working knowledge of CAT modeling, exposure management, and portfolio analytics
  • Ability to interpret actuarial analyses and balance growth, profitability, and risk
  • Strong judgment, strategic thinking, and comfort leading through change
  • Collaborative, solutions‑oriented leadership style
