ERM is the world’s largest specialist sustainability consultancy, with over 50 years of experience helping organisations navigate complex environmental, social, and governance challenges. We bring together a global community of experts to deliver meaningful impact for our clients and the planet.

The Global Delivery Centre (GDC) in Gurugram is ERM’s global operating backbone. It delivers business enablement services in Finance, HR, IT, and Commercial Operations to ensure ERM’s global business runs seamlessly, efficiently, and consistently.

At the GDC, you will:

  • Be part of a hub that ensures ERM’s business continuity worldwide.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across geographies to support global operations.
  • Drive consistency, compliance, and efficiency in core functions.
  • Work with digital, automation, and AI-enabled tools to optimise how ERM operates.
  • Work in shifts where required, depending on the role. As processes mature and automation increases, reliance on shifts will reduce.

Why this role matters?

As a DevOps Automation Engineer (AWS & Azure), you will support ERM's global delivery by designing, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and deployment processes across enterprise platforms. You will work within the Technology team, partnering with global IT, architecture, development, and operations stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions. This role is critical to accelerating digital transformation, improving operational efficiency, reducing deployment risks, and enabling consistent technology delivery across ERM's global business.

What your impact is?

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to:

  • Drive the adoption of automation-first practices across cloud infrastructure and application delivery.
  • Improve deployment speed, reliability, and consistency through robust CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Reduce operational risk and manual effort by automating cloud provisioning, configuration, and support processes.
  • Enhance cloud security and compliance by embedding DevSecOps controls into delivery pipelines.
  • Enable development and support teams with reusable automation frameworks and cloud platform standards.
  • Support continuous improvement of ERM's cloud and Power Platform environments through modernization and optimization initiatives.

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Automation-focused roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with both Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Proven expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices within multi-cloud environments.
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS-native services.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, identity management, networking, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Cloud certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400, AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience working in enterprise-scale, regulated, or professional services environments.
  • Exposure to shared services or global delivery center operating models.
  • Experience implementing automation, AI-enabled operations, or cloud governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud automation solutions across Azure and AWS environments.
  • Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable software deployments.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or CloudFormation.
  • Automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and operational processes.
  • Review and modernize Power Platform workflows, including Power Apps and Power Automate solutions, to improve maintainability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, developers, and platform teams to embed automation into delivery practices.
