Job Description

As a Lead Systems Operations Engineer, you’ll play an important role in ensuring the stability, resiliency, and performance of high‑availability trading platforms that support global financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and operate high‑performance, low‑latency trading systems, ensuring availability, scalability, and resiliency.
  • Act as a second‑line escalation point, resolving complex incidents and coordinating with internal technology teams and partners.
  • Monitor system health, analyze trends, and proactively identify opportunities to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform stability and client experience.
  • Create, maintain, and improve operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge resources.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven years of experience in systems operations, application support, or a similar technical environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems and familiarity with cloud and infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, or configuration tools (e.g., Bash, Python, SQL, CI/CD, infrastructure as code).
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to document processes clearly and collaborate across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, Cloud, Kubernetes, or Agile).
  • Experience working in global, regulated, or financial technology environments.
  • Understanding of financial markets or trading systems.

This position is located in Vilnius, Lithuania and offers the opportunity for hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is 4000 - 5000 Eur gross per month. Actual pay depends on your skills, experience, education, and location.
