Senior Developer, IT Angular

We are looking to hire an experienced Angular Developer proficient in front-end and back-end web development to join our dynamic global team. This person will be responsible maintaining and updating the code base related to Edwards’ proprietary EW1 Hybrid Web application, a mission-critical app used by our field sales teams to further our ability to deliver devices that maximize our patient’s recovery and quality of life. You will be tasked with using Angular best practices to create a streamlined user experience in a complex application, while ensuring quality control standards. The application includes mobile, desktop, data architecture, and Salesforce integrations.

How you will make an impact: 

• Using modern UI/UX and Angular best practices, develop complex software according to requirements

• Define and adhere development team standards for code quality and source code control

• Document code and expected application behaviors

• Lead the effort to analyze, diagnose, and fix performance, functional software, and end-user issues

• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing technical documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code on moderately complex issues

• Lead and determine operational feasibility by evaluating existing analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions

• Perform manual testing in development environment to ensure software efficiency

• Write and maintain automated tests as related to UI/UX functionality

• Perform regression risk assessments related to code changes for requested functionality

• Act as a mentor and SME to colleagues with less experience. Perform peer code review for other members of the application development team

• Maintain accurate status of tickets and tasks in project management system

• Determine and design moderate to complex system specifications, standards, and programming including preparing and installing solutions within the scope of architecture, quality, security policies

• Work is performed independently on more complex projects and/or lines of work and reviewed for accuracy and soundness

What you will need (Required):

• Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of previous related experience and training in the specific technologies and programming languages that will be used for development required

• 5 years of experience developing Angular 17+ applications

• 5+ years of experience developing responsive, cross-browser compatible web applications

• Experience developing with latest Ivy-based versions of Angular (17+)

• Expertise in Angular Reactive Form development with complex dynamic fields and validations

• Expertise in web-based UI/UX best practices for a variety of devices and screen sizes

• Expertise in cross-browser compatibility (Chrome, Safari) for web, desktop, and mobile

• Expertise in responsive and touch friendly UI/UX development

• Expertise with modern Angular UI libraries such as Ionic, Material, Bootstrap

• Experience developing and maintaining reusable Angular components using best practices

• Demonstrated experience with Git-based Source Control, and Continuous Integration (CI) practices (e.g. Git Flow)

• Knowledge of SQL queries and API development as needed to support UI/UX development

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven fluency in English

• Strong analytical, highly detail-oriented, organized and information seeking skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Full stack Angular with SQLite experience

• Development of iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Windows Desktop applications using hybrid web technologies with offline support, i.e.: Apache Cordova, Ionic Capacitor, and/or Electron,

• Knowledge of automated Unit testing for Angular using Jasmine, Karma, and Angular TestBed

• Experience developing internal-facing enterprise applications with emphasis on business workflows and data utilization

• Understanding of standard business workflows and concepts related to Sales, Marketing, and Inventory Management for high-value products, as well as surrounding technical ecosystems, i.e. CRM and ERP systems

• Knowledge of Salesforce CRM capabilities, including custom objects, REST APIs, workflows, Apex triggers, etc.

• Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Octane, and Playwright SDLC tools

• Knowledge of best practices related to IT governance, operations, and administration
