Why This Role is Important to Us
As our new Software Engineer, you will join SimCorp’s Product Division where you will become part of a cross-functional and cross-located agile team. We are responsible for delivering functionality within a specific module of our product - SimCorp Dimension. It is an industry-proven investment management system, heavily based on financial modelling with multidimensional arrays, used by hundreds of corporate clients all over the world. You will apply your talents to all stages of the development lifecycle, including creation and review of user stories, development, design, testing, coding, code reviews, writing automated tests, and support.
What You Will Be Responsible For
You will be using multiple technologies, and your responsibilities will also include:
Developing core functionality to support the business modules
Building new solution – both UI and backend - for proven b2b fintech solution, being Angular best practices advocate
Maintaining the existing code base
Reviewing product code and formulating test scenarios
Constantly learning and developing yourself, the team, and our product
Working with product management to refine new features
What We Value – Tech Skills
Excellent Angular Skills: Proficiency in Angular for developing dynamic and responsive web applications.
Good Azure Skills: Experience with Azure cloud services and deployment.
Good C# Skills: Have insight into the .NET framework and object-oriented software design and programming.
Some Experience with Functional Programming or readiness to learn it is a plus: Understanding of one or more functional programming languages (OCaml, Standard ML, F#, Scala, Haskell) is a nice to have for this position.
Experience in designing and developing REST APIs.
Understanding of Service-Oriented Architectures.
Interest and ability to work with complex architecture, think about complex systems, and back-end solutions.
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a similar field.

Have strong collaboration and communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).
Are willing to learn and acquire new technical and programming skills.

Actively learn through experimentation when tackling the latest problems, using experiences from both successes and failures.
Can introduce new ways of looking at problems and can take creative ideas and put them into practice.
Can identify tech debt.
Can work in a hybrid setup (virtual and physical work environments).
