Data & AI Solution Architect 

TD SYNNEX is looking for a Data & AI Solution Architect to evolve and scale our established data platforms while driving the integration of Agentic AI into the enterprise stack. Our CDP, lakehouse, and analytics capabilities are mature and production-grade — this role is about ensuring architectural coherence, optimizing what’s running, and embedding AI into real business workflows. 

About the team 

You will join our European Data Practice – Center of Excellence, a multidisciplinary team of ~35 experts across 9 nationalities, with backgrounds in telecom, banking, insurance, life sciences, and physics. 

What we do 

We operate and continuously evolve a comprehensive data and AI ecosystem spanning: 

• Enterprise data platform consolidating hundreds of internal and external data sources, processing billions of data points across millions of contacts, partners and end customers. 

• Modular lakehouse (Snowflake + Databricks) with medallion-based governance, feature stores, and semantic layers; 50+ production AI/ML models powering propensity scoring, recommender systems, churn prediction, and Next Best Action. 

• Agentic AI systems: RAG/CAG architectures, LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act with enterprise APIs — an emerging and rapidly growing capability. 

• Omni-channel orchestration executing hundreds of automated marketing and sales activities; E2E process automation across ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and partner systems. 
   

Your role 

Data & Platform Architecture 

• Own and evolve the data platform architecture, blueprints, and roadmap across the CDP ecosystem. 

• Maintain medallion-based governance (bronze/silver/gold) with schema contracts; optimize ingestion, processing, storage, and serving layers for throughput, cost-efficiency, and governance. 

• Govern access control, security, and compliance: Unity Catalog, AD groups, row-level security, data classification, encryption at rest and in transit. 

• Drive platform maturity (CI/CD, monitoring, observability, cost management); conduct design reviews and selectively introduce modern patterns where justified. 

AI Architecture 

• Design how Agentic AI integrates with the existing CDP data stack, APIs, and application landscape; architect agent orchestration including reasoning, planning, API calls, tool use, and write-back. 

• Define the interface between AI agents and the data platform — governed, trusted, up-to-date data products. 

• Design AI security and governance: guardrails, prompt injection defense, PII handling, data leakage prevention, human-in-the-loop controls, and audit trails. 

• Participate on AI integration technology selection; support agent lifecycle standards including versioning, monitoring, and drift detection. 

Hands-on & Engineering Leadership 

• Decompose architectural decisions into well-scoped work items for data and AI engineers. 

• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and code/design reviews; prototype critical components hands-on. 

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and delivery plans. 

• Bridge DataOps, AgenticOps and IT for platform coherence and reusable patterns. 
   

Required experience 

• Proven architect track record in data engineering / platform engineering; strong background in lakehouse architectures (Snowflake, Spark / Databricks, Unity Catalog). 

• Advanced Python, expert SQL / data modeling (dimensional, analytical, semantic); deep knowledge of ETL/ELT and enterprise integration patterns (ERP, CRM, E-Commerce, Marketo). 

• Experience integrating AI/ML into enterprise architectures (LangChain, LlamaIndex; vector DBs such as FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone; MLflow); understanding of Agentic AI: orchestration, tool use, API integration, governance. 

• Solid grasp of data platform security (Azure AD, RBAC, encryption, data classification, GDPR); strong communication skills; proactive with sharp problem-solving. 

Cloud: Azure (preferred), AWS or GCP a plus. DevOps: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, observability. 
 

Nice to have 

• Cloud or security certifications (AZ-305, SC-100, AZ-500, Databricks Certified Architect). 

• Event streaming / event-driven architecture (Kafka, Azure Event Hub). 

• Enterprise integration platforms, API management, data mesh, or MLOps experience. 

• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related STEM field.
