Department Overview

The Evidence and Devices Engineering team is responsible for Motorola Solutions’ body cameras, vehicle cameras and evidence management software leveraged in public safety and enterprise applications worldwide.

We are a thriving and growing company in search of a SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) Team Engineer to join our evidence management team in the vibrant city of Krakow, Poland. This full-time position offers the opportunity to play a significant role in the development and growth of our software engineering projects. We are seeking a talented and proactive individual who can contribute to our team’s success and foster a spirit of collaboration within the company.

Job Description

We are looking for an SRE who operates at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure. You will serve as the final point of escalation for complex production issues that span the entire stack—from the application code down to the kernel and networking layer.

You aren't just deploying infrastructure; you are debugging it, patching it, and re-architecting it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deep-Dive Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex, intermittent, and high-impact issues. You will research and use tools to troubleshoot ongoing customer issues in live production environments.
  • Code-Level Reliability: You won't just file tickets for bugs; you will dive into the application source code (Java/Angular) to identify memory leaks, race conditions, or inefficient logic, and propose or implement fixes.
  • System Architecture & Resilience: designing infrastructure that survives failure. You will identify single points of failure in our architecture and re-design them for redundancy and auto-recovery.
  • Tooling & Automation: Build internal tooling that empowers other engineers to self-serve. If you solve a difficult problem manually once, you write automation to ensure no one has to solve it manually again.
  • Incident Command: You are a critical part of the on call rota responding to major outrages.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize the entire stack, from tweaking database queries and application thread pools to adjusting kernel parameters and network stack configurations.

Basic Requirements

  • BS in Computer Engineering (or equivalent degree)
  • 4+ years of professional software development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Incident Response in Enterprise Environments
  • Experience developing cloud-based applications (Azure/ AWS)
  • Experience developing REST-based APIs and implementing microservice principles and architectures
  • Experience with modern DevOps tooling (including CI/CD pipelines)
  • Familiarity with the concepts involved in designing a high-availability architecture
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring
  • Familiarity with automated testing
  • Creativity and persistence when solving complex problems
  • Enthusiasm for learning key technologies, architectures, processes, and best practices

In return for your expertise, we’ll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way. Also, to reward your work, you’ll get the following:

  • Contract of Employment (UoP)

  • IP Tax Relief (up to 65%)

  • Private medical coverage, Multisport

  • Life insurance (two annual incomes),

  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan – 15% discount for buying Motorola’s Stock units,

  • Employee Pension Plan – 3,5 % of the month’s salary gross, which goes to the retirement account

  • Yearly salary increase (depends on individual performance)

  • Yearly bonus (depends on company performance)

  • Flexible working hours (usually the day starts between 7-10),

  • 8 hours working day (30 minutes lunch break included).

  • Hybrid work (once per week from KRK office)
