About the role
Carbon is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team of talented engineers in our Sunnyvale, CA office. The ideal candidate shall develop pre-and-post processing technologies to expand Carbon's DLS platform and Window. He/She shall drive technical and process solutions to help our customers to grow their businesses efficiently and economically, leveraging economies of scale and driving new technology adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Participate, maintain and improve manufacturing operations related to cleanroom processing and building of complex electromechanical assemblies from the development phase through ongoing production.
- Create and maintain WI’s, SOP’s and other relevant manufacturing documentation
- Design test fixtures and tooling for manufacturing and testing optimization.
- Participate in new process/product development activities & drive collaboration across cross functional teams (Design, Systems, Production, Quality, Supply Chain)
- Train technicians and engineers (in-house and at CM sites) in new and existing processes.
- Organize manufacturing workflows and ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of work experience in manufacturing environments (not including internships) with demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced environment and adjust/manage workload based upon changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability using CAD tools to design fixtures/tools.
- Demonstrated ability resolving production line down issues and non-conformances using standard root cause analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to use statistical tools in data analysis and problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

At Carbon, we look at the person holistically and carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining salary. The compensation bracket for this position is $119,200 - 178,800 (per year). In order to maintain equitable internal pay practices, we aim to hire new employees near the midpoint of $149,000 taking into account your experience, work location, certifications, and the unique skills you bring to the role. If you are not based in our Sunnyvale office, the range above will be adjusted for the geographical differential associated with your actual work location.
