About the role
The Business Analytics Lead Analyst (C13 / VP) for Citi Advisor Insights (CAI) is a senior individual contributor role within the AIM India analytics team. This role supports the analytical strategy and execution for CAI — a flagship platform designed to transform advisor productivity and drive measurable financial impact across Citi's Wealth Business. This person will work closely with the CAI Leads to translate the analytical vision into concrete deliverables, working with the team of analysts and data scientists in building models, frameworks, and insights that power the CAI platform.
This role requires strong analytical expertise, experience in wealth management or financial services, and the ability to manage both people and complex analytical workstreams. The ideal candidate is a technically strong individual who can bridge the gap between data science execution and business stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of analytical projects within the CAI ecosystem, including data collection, processing, exploratory analysis, and insight generation from large, complex advisor and client datasets
- Design, develop, and maintain robust analytical frameworks and models to measure CAI's impact on advisor productivity, client engagement, and key financial outcomes (e.g., NNIA)
- Build and refine sophisticated models including client prioritization algorithms, GenAI-powered idea recommendation engines, and machine learning-based scoring and ranking systems
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholders
- Serve as key analytics point of contact for Product, Technology, and Business teams, participating in cross-functional discussions to align analytical requirements and roadmap priorities
- Partner with global stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into well-defined data and analytical requirements
- Communicate analytical results and model outputs effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior business leaders
- Manage and mentor a team of analytics professionals (analysts and data scientists), providing day-to-day guidance, performance feedback, and career development support
- Foster a team culture of analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, and business impact
- Assist in workforce planning, hiring, and performance evaluation activities
- Identify and champion innovative analytical approaches, including new statistical methods, GenAI/ML techniques, and tooling to enhance the CAI platform's capabilities
- Stay current with industry best practices in wealth management analytics, digital engagement, and advisor productivity measurement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical processes, data pipelines, and model governance standards
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
Recommended Qualifications
- 9–13 years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related quantitative field, with meaningful exposure to the wealth management or financial services industry
- Proven track record of providing analytic thought leadership, particularly in areas of digital engagement, sales enablement, or client lifecycle management
- Proven ability to manage and deliver complex, data-driven projects in partnership with Technology, Product, and Business teams
- Experience working on advisor-facing platforms, digital engagement tools, or sales enablement analytics is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate large volumes of data into clear, actionable business insights
- Effective communicator who can present complex analytical findings concisely to both technical peers and senior non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in building and deploying analytical models (e.g. recommendation systems, client segmentation) in a business context
- Hands-on experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques; proficiency in Python, SAS, SQL, or equivalent tools
- Experience managing or mentoring small analytics teams; demonstrated ability to develop talent and drive team performance
- Intellectually curious, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Education
- Bachelor's/University degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Master's degree (MBA, MS in Data Science, Statistics, or related field) preferred
