About the role
QC Shift Technician
Department: Quality Department
Reporting to: QC Supervisor
Job Objective: Responsible for testing of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products, as well as daily maintenance of testing equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
performs comprehensive quality control testing of raw materials, intermediate and finished products in accordance with established standards and procedures.
accurately analyze test data and document results in a detailed and organized manner. Prepare comprehensive test reports highlighting any deviations from standard values and provide initial interpretation.
be able to effectively communicate test results, quality issues and recommended solutions to cross-functional teams, including production, R&D and quality management.
operates and maintains various types of laboratory test equipment, ensuring that equipment is in good operating condition through routine inspections, calibrations, and preventive maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoots and resolves minor equipment malfunctions and reports major problems to the supervisor in a timely manner. Records equipment maintenance and repair history.
Monitor the quality of the production process during the shift. Collaborate with production team to identify and resolve quality related issues timely
Provide technical support to production operators on quality control matters.
Conducts investigations to determine root cause when nonconforming product is detected. Propose corrective and preventive actions and follow up to ensure their effectiveness.
Comply with all laboratory safety regulations and quality management system requirements. Ensure that all testing activities comply with industry standards and company defined guidelines.
maintains and updates quality related documents including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test records and equipment calibration certificates. Participate in internal and external audits related to quality control
Manage inventory of laboratory consumables including reagents, solvents and sample containers. Place orders for replenishment in a timely manner to avoid disruption of testing due to shortages.
Work with supervisor to conduct regular inventory checks so that inventory levels are in line with records. Ensure proper storage and handling of consumables to maintain their quality and stability.
Job Requirements:
Educational Background:
- College degree or above in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or closely related fields.
- Able to adapt to shift work, including night shifts and weekend shifts.
