Your role

In this key role you will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, and integrating advanced electrical/electronic hardware solutions that meet both internal and external customer requirements. You will collaborate with a team to create hardware solutions primarily focused on computers, monitors, switches, and other accessories.
 

This role is ideal for an engineer who excels in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality engineering outcomes. As a Hardware Engineer, you will be accountable for the following key responsibilities:

• Developing hardware architectures for existing, new, or evolving systems.

• Designing and documenting electrical/electronic solutions that align with customer and program requirements.

• Leading the selection, integration, and testing of procured specialist hardware items and equipment.

• Developing hardware product structures in ERP/PLM environments, ensuring high-quality data for procurement and production.

• Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and Defence customers.

• Ensuring compliance with Saab’s engineering processes, quality management systems, and safety standards.
   

Your profile

We believe that you have solid experience in hardware design methodologies, including the development, testing, and implementation of hardware solutions. You have a proven ability to write and review technical documentation that supports engineering requirements as well as defense-related deliverables. You communicate clearly and effectively and are comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. With a strong problem-solving mindset, you take a structured approach to planning, prioritisation, and delivery, and you are motivated by developing innovative and robust technical solutions.
 

You are product-focused and committed to delivering capabilities that meet operational needs. As a person, you are adaptable and open to embracing new tasks, technologies, and processes, and you value continuous learning and personal development. You work in an organised manner and act in line with Saab’s values and behaviours.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
