Patient Flow Specialist RN - Transfer Access Center - Nights - Cornell Campus
In this exciting role you will use your clinical knowledge and skills to coordinate patient transfers locally (within the tristate area), nationally, and globally to our NYP campuses. Our NYP Transfer Center Patient Flow Specialists utilize streamlined transfer processes to facilitate fast access to our specialized providers and services. Patients are triaged to the appropriate NYP Campus, Hospital Service, and Level of Care based on an initial intake and ongoing discussion among members of the care teams. Our specialists partner with other NYP departments such as EMS, Patient Placement Operations Center and FCC to facilitate safe, efficient transfers. Our team is committed to providing a quality streamlined process to assure access for patients to the highly specialized care available at NYP.
Shift: 7:30pm to 8am, 13 shifts per month. Weekend and holiday commitment required
Preferred Criteria
Master's in Nursing
Required Criteria
At least three years of critical care RN experience·
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing·
Current New York State RN license Strong critical thinking, accurate assessment, and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required in attention to detail.
High-level analytical ability required in order to resolve complex patient flow issues.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
