What you’ll be doing...
You will be working with a highly functional team responsible for data management, reporting and analytics and, systems evolution and support for Verizon’s Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) organization. You will participate in a collaborative multi-discipline team environment to execute and refine data quality control practices, facilitate EHS reporting and analytics and, provide technical support for related reporting systems and tools.
Performing audits and validation to ensure data completeness and accuracy
Addressing data gaps and errors with responsible owners
Supporting EHS reporting and ad hoc data requests to facilitate data driven decision-making
Enhancing reports and dashboards to monitor EHS performance
Collaborating with key stakeholders to improve data collection and quality processes
Ensuring compliance with Verizon Data Privacy requirements
Maintaining data quality and reporting process documentation
Monitoring industry trends in EHS metrics, data collection, and reporting to continuously improve these processes
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work and/or military experience.
Knowledge of databases and data structures
Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Cognos, Qlik, Power BI)
Proficiency in MS office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and Google suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)
Ability to embrace change and work in a fast paced, iterative environment
Capacity to work independently and also as part of a cross-functional team
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to develop positive working relationships
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor's Degree/Master’s Degree in mathematics, data science or computer science
Proficiency in SQL, Python or other database languages
Familiarity with EHS programs and business processes
Experience with Enablon SaaS
Experience with EHS or quality management systems (ISO 45001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 9001)
