Job Description:

Broadcom is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of U.S. Indirect Tax. You will serve as an expert for software taxation and purchase exemptions while driving automation across our tax workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical SME: Provide indirect tax guidance for new products and Business Units, focusing on software sales and and purchase exemptions including data center and California partial manufacturing and R&D exemption

  • Compliance & Audits: Oversee co-sourced U.S. sales, use, and property tax compliance; manage external providers and lead tax controversy, audits, and refund claims.

  • Process Innovation: Identify and implement automation improvements within tax workflows and the OneSource/Sabrix tax engine.

  • Strategic Projects: Act as one of the tax lead for M&A integrations and cross-functional initiatives with Finance, IT, and Procurement.

  • Policy Monitoring: Track legislative changes and proactively communicate impact and solutions to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Bachelors and 15+ years or Masters and 13+ years of experience in public accounting and the technology industry.

  • Systems: Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP and OneSource/Sabrix is required.

  • Technical Depth: Expertise in U.S. sales and use tax, specifically relating to software, sourcing, and manufacturing.

  • Data Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency for data modeling and forecasting.

  • Execution: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $128,300 - $205,200

 

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
