  • Support EMI/EMC design integration during schematic and PCB layout phases
  • Review schematics and layouts for grounding, filtering, and return path integrity
  • Develop cable shielding, bonding, and enclosure mitigation strategies
  • Design and implement filtering solutions (common-mode, differential, power input, signal lines)
  • Support root cause analysis of emissions and susceptibility failures
  • Collaborate with EE, ME, and systems teams to integrate EMC requirements early in design
  • Support pre-compliance and compliance testing to standards such as MIL-STD-461G and MIL-STD-464D
  • Generate design guidelines and best practices for EMI risk reduction
  • Analyze test data and drive corrective design actions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex board designs
  • 3–6 years of EMI/EMC design or hardware development experience
  • Working knowledge of EMI/EMC standards (MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-464D, DO-160, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of grounding, shielding, filtering, and PCB layout best practices
  • Experience troubleshooting EMI issues at board, cable, or enclosure level
  • Ability to interpret test data and translate it into actionable design changes
  • Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests
