Manager, RTP Global Strategy & Business EnablementOverviewThe Real-Time Payments (RTP) Global team is seeking a Manager, RTP Global Strategy & Business Enablement to support the definition, activation, and execution of Mastercard’s global RTP strategy. This role plays a critical function in translating strategy into actionable plans, enabling execution across regions and functions, and ensuring alignment between product strategy, market priorities, and go‑to‑market activities.
The Manager will work closely with RTP Global Product, Regional teams, Commercial, and other interna l stakeholders to enable scalable execution, support priority initiatives, and drive consistency, transparency, and impact across the RTP portfolio. The role also brings a point of view on cross border payments (dynamics, key players, and emerging models) to inform decision making, identify gaps, and strengthen Mastercard’s approach where relevant.
Role
In this role, you will:
• Support the development and ongoing refinement of RTP Global strategy, including market prioritisation, initiative planning, and execution roadmaps.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans, frameworks, and artefacts to support regional and functional teams.
• Bring a thought leadership perspective on cross border payments (ecosystem dynamics, key players, and what is/isn’t working) to help shape priorities, challenge assumptions, and improve outcomes.
• Identify cross border relevance, gaps, and partnership opportunities across initiatives (e.g., linkages to remittances, corridors, settlement/FX considerations)
• Enable business execution and portfolio coordination across RTP initiatives, ensuring alignment between strategy, product, and go‑to‑market activity.
• Partner with Product, Commercial, and Regional teams to support market readiness, customer engagements, and strategic initiatives (e.g. RFPs, priority opportunities).
• Contribute to strategic analysis, business cases, and decision materials for senior leadership forums.
• Support cross‑functional coordination across Product, Technology, Legal, Operations, and Markets to drive progress on priority initiatives.
• Monitor execution progress, risks, and dependencies across assigned initiatives, escalating issues and supporting resolution where required.
• Help build and maintain standard tools, frameworks, and governance mechanisms that improve execution consistency and transparency across RTP Global.
• Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders by providing structured insights, clear communication, and pragmatic recommendations.
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
• Experience in strategy, business enablement, product, or commercial strategy within payments, financial services, or a related technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of cross border payments (corridors, remittances, FX, settlement, regulatory and scheme considerations) including ecosystem dynamics and key players; able to articulate what is working within Mastercard today and where there are gaps/opportunities to address.
• Strong understanding of real‑time payments, A2A, or modern payment ecosystems, with the ability to connect strategic ambition to execution reality.
• Proven ability to work in matrixed, global organisations, coordinating across multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience developing structured analyses, strategic narratives, and leadership materials.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments while maintaining structure, discipline, and follow‑through.
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with Mastercard Move and/or knowledge of Mastercard’s broader cross‑border and payments strategy.
• Experience supporting go‑to‑market activities, RFPs, or strategic customer engagements.
• Exposure to global payment schemes, network‑based models, or regulated financial environments.
