About the role
Job Description:
As the Fuselage R&T Leader for Procurement Aerostructures, you will drive the strategic consolidation, sourcing model definition, and programme positioning for Fuselage components (PSA). You will bridge the gap between advanced Research & Technology (R&T) and future programme execution. By leading and aligning fuselage strategies across functions within Airbus Commercial and with Airbus Atlantic and Airbus Aerostructures. You will ensure our supply chain is technically ready, competitive, and aligned with Airbus's long-term fuselage vision.
In this role, you will directly report to the PSAB MFT Leader and will be interfacing with the transnational Procurement Aerostructure R&T network & the Procurement Aerostructure Business Operations & Strategy team.

Your challenges:
Lead, coordinate and define R&T activities oriented to Fuselage within Procurement Aerostructures
Define Fuselage strategy within the R&T perimeter
Represent Procurement Aerostructures in the different forums related to Fuselage for future A/C programmes
Organise and manage the R&T MFT Fuselage
Conduct compliant partner down-selection for both self funded and funded projects
Negotiate Research agreements with Partners (CRAs, SCAs) and manage extensions, amendments and terminations
Formulate robust fuselage sourcing strategies and action plans, ensuring seamless alignment with the eAction milestones and timelines.
Develop a detailed supplier involvement plan per fuselage component to guarantee both technical viability and market competition readiness prior to final selection
Interface with 1TF, Transport Payload organisation and build a comprehensive and holistic view of Fuselage R&T activities and technologies’ baseline
Ensure that key Aerostructure sourcing strategy drivers are considered in the R&T Programme Objectives and fuselage partnership strategy
Highlight the potential risks and opportunities linked to the development of a new A/C Programme
Maintain a close relationship with the Partnership Business Managers from 1A in order to ensure continued alignment between PS and 1A and represent Procurement Aerostructures in Technical Alignment Meetings with Partners
Manage and monitor the necessary activities to be done by the Fuselage R&T MFT with respect to eAction and ZEROe programmes
Collaborate closely with the PS ASCOT (Airframe Supply Chain Of Tomorrow) project leader to deploy strategic fuselage initiatives
Support PS and PSA agreed R&T governance. Prepare R&T reviews for Aerostructures Committee
Maintain a centralized overview of all R&T projects via an R&T Tracker
Participate and contribute to PSA R&T network, share overview of Fuselage R&T activities and best practices
Monitor the execution of the contracts (during innovation, development, serial and support phases) with suppliers and Company's stakeholders to achieve throughout the contract life cycle the optimized application of terms and conditions. In particular to ensure suppliers are delivering expected performance in all dimensions (Logistics, support, quality, costs...)
Manage the day to day business relationships with suppliers and running projects to optimize customer value, while minimizing total cost of ownership & risks (ToW, Claims, Capex, Serial Modifications impact, AOP management/updates...)
Your boarding pass:
Procurement experience or robust airframe technical background
Proven successful experience in teamwork in intercultural environment
Efficient project management. Highly-tuned communication and presentation skills
Effective negotiator with proven commercial and contractual background is welcome
Curious and interested in Aerostructure market, Technologies & Innovation
Proactive mindset and ability to take initiatives and work autonomously
Proven in communication, especially with partners’ representatives and internal stakeholders
Adaptable to a fast, dynamic and ever changing environment
At ease with innovative and disruptive solutions
Negotiation level in English
