About the position
Location: Athens, Greece
Hybrid work (3 days in the office a week)
As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you play a crucial role in delivering financial insights while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and business planning departments to achieve organizational objectives. This position combines the responsibilities of an senior analyst and act like business partner, giving you the opportunity to influence business decisions and see their direct results.
In this role, you will have a real impact on business decisions, with your business cases being implemented on the market and your reports being used by all regional managers. Your ideas can be applied not only in Greece but also across other countries. You will have the chance to work with various departments and participate in diverse projects, ensuring that you are an integral part of the business success.
Main Responsibilities
- FP&A: Lead the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual plans
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as the "co-pilot" to the Sales managers, providing data-driven insights to support business reviews and strategic decision-making.
- Commercial Optimization: Deep-dive into Gross-to-Net (GtN) management, controlling rebate spend, and analyzing promotional ROI to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Market Expansion: Support the commercial team in Distributor Markets (RO, BG,CY and other) through financial modeling, project evaluation, and investment assessment for new opportunities.
- Reporting: Assist the Finance Lead in monthly overviews, ad-hoc reporting, and regional projects that put your work in front of senior leadership.
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally within the FMCG industry.
- University degree in Finance, Economy or related, CIMA or ACCA will be an asset
- Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and present financial concepts to non-financial audiences with clarity and confidence.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP (BPC knowledge is a plus). You should be comfortable navigating large data sets to find the "story" behind the numbers.
- A "can-do" attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Proficiency in Greek and advanced English are required.
