Job Title: Intern (w/m/d) Chemical R&D

Location: Schaffhausen

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking an intern to join our Chemical R&D team in Schaffhausen
 

Position Overview - Tasks & Responsibilities:

As our Intern Chemical R&D team, you will play a key role in supporting our efforts to bring chemistry for new APIs to patients who need it most. Fully embedded in the global R&D team, you will contribute to new route design and process research to support first GLP and GMP batch deliveries on the critical path by

  • Looking for modern chemistry for small APIs or peptide APIs

  • Evaluating modern chemistry in our lab

  • Summarizing and presenting results within the local R&D team

Qualifications - Education and Experience:

  • A completed bachelor's or ongoing master's degree in life sciences (chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, medicine)

Qualifications - Skills:

  • A high level of enthusiasm and a keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience with organic chemistry and/or with peptide chemistry

  • Very good German and English skills, other languages ​​are a plus

  • Able to understand scientific data and to translate these into a practical narrative

  • Team spirit, creativity, proactivity and a strong organizational talent
