About the role
As the Product & Segment Manager Nordics & Benelux you will be responsible for all activities related to the commercialization of the PPG Paint and Non-paint products for the Car Refinish Industry.
The primary focus is on the operational product management of the PPG product ranges for the car painting industry as well as light industrial coatings. This means that the products you will be working with are technical products in a b-2-b setting where you will be managing categories like paint, primers, clear coats, tape, abrasives and sealers, to mention a few.
The secondary focus is on communication where you will be working on coordinating new product introductions to both distributors and end users, including launch material communication and other supporting materials. Moreover, the updating of the websites and other communication tasks in the two regions will also be your responsibility.

Location
This position will be based in the Danish PPG headquarter in Søborg where around 250 PPG employees are based. The facility includes a nice well-driven canteen and good options for joining different social activities across the different departments.
Key Responsibilities
Product Portfolio & Lifecycle Management
- Manage and optimize the full range of relevant portfolio ensuring successful product launches and product obsolescence for the PPG paint and non-paint product ranges.
- Coordinate new product introductions to both distributors and end users including launch material, communication and other supporting materials.
- Ensure product positioning and communication are continuously aligned with market expectations and customer pain points.
- Regularly analyze the sales evolution by segment, brand, and product family, providing actionable recommendations to management.
- Work with local customer service teams to ensure product availability
- Collaborate with the European demand team and local sales on the forecasting process.
Product launch activities
- Set up launch communication emails in the 7 working languages of region. This is a complex and reoccurring task that can be rather time-consuming and require a structured mindset.
- Localization and proof reading of centrally produced launch and communication material.
Pricing Management
- Manage and optimize the full active product portfolio to maximize sales, profitability and competitiveness.
- Ensure price positioning based on competitive intelligence. Constantly track and review and compare based on product positioning.
- Manage and update pricing strategy for Collision segment, ensuring profitability and alignment with segmentation and competitive context.
- Secure price consistency in collaboration with Sales Excellence and Business Analytics teams.
Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence
- Drive the value proposition based on market intelligence, customer and competitive insights
- Conduct competitive analysis to monitor market trends, innovations, and product offerings, while identifying potential gaps in competitive strategies.
- Regularly analyze the sales evolution by segment, brand, and product family, providing actionable recommendations to management
- Gather customer and sales team insights to provide a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and market demands to be able to feedback product development.
- Identify opportunity gaps, unmet needs, or areas requiring portfolio adjustments or new service solutions.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product development, pricing, or commercial strategies.
Communication & sales support activities
- Develop product promotions to drive sales.
- Build compelling product sales pitches highlighting product strengths and benefits.
- Use PPG AI-tools to fasten route to markets in preparing materials.
- Support the “Select by PPG” Distributor engagement scheme.
- Conduct relevant customer/industry events, fairs & external communication.
- Coordinate the production of roll ups, brochures and other sales support material.
- Produce customer testimonial articles in collaboration with the sales team.
- Produce text and pictures to be used in our SOME Channels.
- Update websites with local news from the different countries in the region.
Qualifications
- Strong marketing or product management background, ideally in B2B or technical sectors.
- Experience (+5 years) with complex and technical b-2-b product portfolios.
- It would be a clear advantage, but it is not a requirement, if you have a background within the refinish automotive car painting or refinish non-paint industry.
- Proven track record within product management is a key qualification.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate market trends into actionable strategies.
- Strong skills in fast learning and managing digital/AI tools for more efficiency.
- Good teamwork skills with colleagues, sales force, customers and distributors.
- High degree of autonomy, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.
- High level Excel and Power Point skills are very important.
- Power Bi experience is a plus but not a must.
- Fluent in one of the Nordic languages as well as high-level in English.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to travel within the Nordic and Benelux region (approximately 15 days a year).
